These guys in Australia came up with a novel way of playing Quake. With laptop strapped to the back, and semi-transparent goggles displaying game imagery, they’re able to play Quake in a real outdoor environment. There’s an interesting article on Wikipedia about Augmented Reality.

Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for real at Chernobyl

These crazy guys play the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. computer game - only they do it for real. They purposely go to Chernobyl (the site of a nuclear disaster) dressed in Stalker themed clothes and play with armored vehicles and real guns - meters away from the disaster site where radiation still seeps through the soil.
